Description
Cistus aguilar pot 18 cm, is an evergreen shrub native to Morocco and southern Spain.
The Cistus aguilar shrub has a rounded shape and can reach a height of approximately 1-1.5 meters. The leaves are small and greyish-green in color, with a slightly leathery texture. The flowers are large and showy, usually pink or purple, with a dark spot at the base of the petals. Flowering occurs in spring and lasts about a month.
This plant is prized for its resistance to drought and heat, and can be grown in the garden or in a pot. It generally prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil, but can also tolerate more clayey or nutrient-poor soils.
Cistus aguilar is often used to create flowering hedges and for the creation of Mediterranean gardens. Thanks to its resistance to difficult climatic conditions, it is an ideal plant for dry gardens or for soil exposed to the sun for many hours a day. Furthermore, its fragrant flowers make it a perfect choice for coloring the garden during the spring season.
